Tapajos National Forest

A considerable portion of the Tapajos National Forest used to belong to my family untill the government made it a reserve in the 70's. Creating conservation units is one good way to protect Rainforest in my country. The Tapajos National Forest consists of 600.000 Hectares and it is partially protect. Tourism should be emplemented for its more effective protection. Outside pristine Rainforest that one can even ride a motorcicle through, there is a 45m tower that is my real cup of tea, a perfect place to spot canopy bird species and meditate, medidate, meditate...
You will certainly recognise the girls in the pix, that was just before we saw the jaguar.
